Altered Galleries

 I feel like being threatened with a potential ban for voicing my dismay towards being kicked from a project has put a foul taste in my mouth. 

I was asked to join a project to start a gallery which I was excited by- as a non-professional photographer in secondlife, being asked and praised for what what I did have brought a lot of excitement. 

I worked the first gallery with no issues however I had to take a short break because I found my neighbour/friend dead IRL. I was told I could take a break, and for one week I did to gather my thoughts and process what I had witnessed. 

But I was praised for the work I did do- I was told to great a notecard with my wages and it is dated to the day it was made.

December was the second month of payment which I was told I would get 7.5K because I was doing a good job.  You can see it dated during the time we were in contact. I was told to make this and keep note- I didn't ask for a raise but instead was given it.

I was organised and efficient- storing all the information needed because the owner couldn't. What I didn't store was the endless calls I got at random hours where I had to act as a therapist rather than a manager- having my own issues I'd have to destress from this a lot. I was there as a friend, and when I wasn't there as a manager its because I wasn't asked to. 

I was told I wasn't doing enough when I wasn't given any work to do at times, and the work I did get handed over was done within the day!

I have asked that all my work not be used because I put effort into this project and one day I get this poem about not being around and then kicked from the project randomly.

Not to mention the message I received, "You've had your legs in the air all month, I've had my ears to the ground." made me feel insanely uncomfortable. So I blocked them all- however I heard that they were playing the pity party so here is my side- on a site where no ban can be made. Do no threaten me anymore just because you know you are in the wrong. 

So, will I join the art world again? Unlikely... for sure not on secondlife because that was just entirely insane. Please just be aware of what you join and where... you might just get scammed.
